2 Days, Maasai Mara national Reserve
Day 1. Diani beach / mombasa – masai mara
You will be picked from your hotel at 7:15am from Diani beach hotels or 6:30am from Mombasa hotels and transferred to Ukunda Airstrip or Moi Airport for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara. Flight leaves at 8:00am from Ukunda and 7:15am from Mombasa and takes about 2hours.
On arrival in Masai Mara, you will be met by a Lodge/Camp driver/guide with a 4×4 Ladcrusser for a short game drive to the Lodge/Camp for Check-in. Lunch in the Lodge/Camp. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive from 3:30pm until 6:30pm in the evening.
Masai Mara National Reserve was opened in November 1974 and has since become Kenya’s most famous and popular national reserve in Kenya, the park covers an area of 1,510 square kilometers and features a wide variety and high density of wildlife that is easily observable. The reserve offers spectacular views across rolling parks and hills. The impressive, extraordinary annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles, which starts from the Serengeti, crosses into the Mara grasslands from late June. Tourists arriving in July-August can view this spectacular migration of the wildebeests, followed by the predators – lion, leopard, cheetah, and hyena – with the vultures following in the air. Visitors can observe wildlife throughout the year. The reserve shelters elephant, black rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, hartebeest, lion, leopard and cheetah. Moreover, animals like the hippo and the crocodile can be found in the rivers. There are about 452 species of animals and birds in the park. the lodge may arrange for a masai village walk at an extra cost Dinner and Overnight at the lodge or camp
Day 2. Masai Mara – Ukunda/Mombasa
After an early breakfast at 7:30am, you will have the last game drive until 12:00pm with lunch in the bush (picnic lunch). After lunch you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight, which leaves at 2:00pm back to Mommbasa/Ukunda On arrival you will be met and transferred back to your hotel.
